Sirocco Forrest Rezoning

SIROCCO

Purdon was hired by Sirocco to change the zone under the territory plan for use of the former Italo-Australian Club site at Forrest as a medium density residential development.

The project was significantly impacted by the Coronavirus pandemic and issues with Australia Post delivery of notices, meaning two virtual consultation sessions occurred in addition to various other consultation activities.

This was in addition to impacts experienced by the change in legislation (Planning ACT and new TP) and the inclusion of additional sites into the proposal.

Purdon had to manage several competing interests, changes to legisation (and therefore proecesses) and changes to government actors. This required significant liason, agility and perseverance to see this project through to the finish.
