COLLINGS PENNINGTON ARCHITECTS ON BEHALF OF HOUSING ACT
Purdon prepared the development application for a 30-dwelling social housing project in Yarralumla, comprising three two-storey buildings and a mix of one, two and three-bedroom homes. The scope included demolition of existing buildings, site reconfiguration, new landscaping, access and servicing works, while retaining key mature trees and integrating with the surrounding streetscape.
The proposal supported increased housing density in line with ACT Government objectives, delivering well-designed “missing middle” housing with strong consideration for amenity, character and sustainability.
The development was approved, with the decision upheld at ACAT in 2025.
