Purdon was engaged to provide planning and community consultation services for this significant mixed use estate development within the Molonglo Valley. Purdon’s role included planning advice and review of the proposed subdivision plan, identification of planning opportunities and constraints and advice to the client and broader project team regarding block layouts, planning block controls and future development requirements.

The project required close coordination with the consultant team to ensure the subdivision layout, proposed controls, technical inputs and Development Application documentation were appropriately aligned.

Purdon prepared the planning report to support the Development Application, reviewed DA drawings and supporting documentation, coordinated DA requirements across the project team, submitted the DA and managed amendments required through the assessment process.

A key enhancement of Purdon’s role was the integration of strategic planning advice, Estate Development Plan preparation, Development Application coordination and stakeholder communication within a single planning process. Rather than treating subdivision layout, planning controls, DA documentation and future development requirements as separate tasks, Purdon worked across these components to support a more coherent and deliverable estate planning framework. This helped ensure the proposed subdivision structure, block controls and future Territory Plan provisions were aligned from the outset.
