Purdon undertook the Development Applications for the park, Playground, associated BBQ and Amenities areas, and Subdivision of the site. The playground compliments and is a part of the existing local centre, utilising the existing bus stops and car parking facilities.

Of prominence is the bespoke playground equipment that includes play equipment inspired by its location in the shadows of the former Mount Stromlo Observatory to provide a sense of place and opportunities for both play and educational experiences for the intended users. These bespoke items include a play tower that reflects the design of the observatory, hanging spheres and ground mounted/suspended balancing balls that connect to the idea of outer space exploration. This is in addition to a green roofed BBQ area and triangular play structure for maximum usability of the site.
