Purdon was engaged to provide planning services for a four-storey health and office development in Kingston, including preparation and management of the Development Application and Lease Variation and strategic planning advice throughout the design and approvals process.

The proposal involved demolition of the existing building and construction of a new four-storey development incorporating health and office uses, a habitable rooftop area, three levels of basement parking, landscaping and associated infrastructure and site works.

Working closely with the project architect and multidisciplinary consultant team, Purdon identified key statutory planning requirements, coordinated planning inputs and helped guide the design response to site constraints, Territory Plan provisions and agency requirements. Purdon also prepared and progressed the Lease Variation required to facilitate the proposed development and land uses.

Our involvement provided a coordinated planning approach across the statutory, lease, design and technical workstreams, supporting the efficient progression of the project through the ACT planning system.
