BELCONNEN SOCCER CLUB (BSC)

Purdon was recruited to resolve BSC’s numerous legacy lease issues, including non-compliance with Crown Lease Completion clauses (causing extension of time fees)​ and with Crown Lease Purpose clause (in relation to Childcare use)​.

Purdon lodged a DA reconsideration application to rectify Crown Lease Completion Clauses before making a formal request to Chief Minister seeking reduction of Extension of Time fees. The Reconsideration DA was approved, and additional Extension of Time fees reimbursed.

The Lease Variation DA timeframe was extended to allow for a S197 submission limiting the Childcare use to only part of the site. Purdon sought further remission of fees​ before the DA S197 was approved and changes ​registered to Crown Lease​.

Significant liaison with various government actors was required throughout this process, to ensure the multitude of required planning approvals could proceed as efficiently as possible.
