Rob has a wealth of experience in urban planning having spent over 40 years working in the profession. He has worked on a wide range of projects including the Canberra Centre redevelopment, ANU Exchange, student housing, high-rise residential projects, Capital Business Park, Tuggeranong Town Centre and Gungahlin Drive Extension. He has also undertaken projects for government and private clients internationally, including the Changsha Estate Subdivision located in China and the Cagayan Master Plan in the Philippines. His experience and expertise now see him contributing to policy advice to government agencies and private industry while providing media advice on a variety of planning related issues.

His passion for the industry stems from his interest in cities as a major construct of societies, and as places that connect the economy, environment and people. He believes town planners can make a difference to living standards, efficient land use and sound economic development.
